Current reuse status
OpenStax’s current licensing guidance states CC BY-NC-SA 4.0. Some older Physics prefaces and repositories refer to CC BY. Current book-page notices also require prior written permission before incorporating book content into generative AI offerings.
The site’s ingestion pipeline stays disabled until the operator has documented permission for the specific books and use. The operator must preserve each book’s exact notices, license, original-source credits, and any separate image rights. Advertising is disabled pending review.
